Employers’ Mutual Accident Insurance Association

« Back to Glossary Index

A non-profit entity created by a group of employers from different productive sectors for the joint assumption of the pecuniary responsibilities that occupational accidents and occupational diseases may cause. It is considered a collaborator of Social Security, as it is financed through Social Security contributions rather than insurance premiums. For this reason, it does not pay Social Security contributions.
